“취약점 논의 220% 늘었다”··· SAP 시스템 공격 시도 증가 중
ERP 보안 전문기업 오냅시스(Onapsis)의 수석 보안연구원인 이반 제뉴어는 지난 11일 열린 사이버 보안 컨퍼런스 ‘블랙햇 유럽 2024(Black Hat Europe 2024)’에서 최근 4년간의 위협 정보 분석 결과 SAP의 ERP 시스템을 해킹하려는 시도가 2020년부터 급증했다고 발표했다.SAP에 따르면 현재 포브스 글로벌 2000대 기업 중 87%가 SAP를 사용하고 있으며, 이 시스템이 전 세계 거래 매출의 77%를 처리하고 있다.오냅시스와 위협 정보 연구 파트너인 플래시포인트(Flashpoint)는 범죄 포럼, 랜섬웨어 사고, 채팅 사이트, 랜섬웨어 그룹 사이트의 활동을 분석했다. 그 결과 사이버 범죄 그룹(FIN13 ‘엘리펀트 비틀’, 러시아 사이버 범죄 그룹 FIN7, 코발트 스파이더), 사이버 스파이 조직(중국의 APT10), 스크립트 키디 등 다양한 그룹이 SAP 관련 취약점을 적극적으로 노리는 것으로 나타났다.조사에 따르면 SAP 기반 시스템이 보유한 방대한 데이터는 사이버 스파이 그룹의 표적이 되기 쉽다. 또한 거래량이 거대한 만큼 금전적 이득을 노리는 경우도 많다.SAP 취약점 판매하는 범죄 그룹SAP 시스템 공격 방법에 불을 지핀 취약점은 CVE-2020-6287(RECON)과 CVE-2020-6207(SAP 솔루션 매니저 인증 누락)이었다.오냅시스는 2020년 8월 SAP 보안 스토리지 공격 도구가 2만 5,000달러에 판매된 사례가 있다고 언급했다. 또한 2020년 9월에는 구매자들이 SAP 넷위버 사전 인증 원격 코드 실행이나 인증 우회 공격 도구에 5만 달러를 제시했으며, 이후에는 SAP 시스템 공격 도구에 25만 달러까지 제시됐다.오냅시스에 의하면 SAP 전용 클라우드 및 웹 서비스에 대한 사이버범죄 포럼의 논의가 2021년부터 2023년까지 220% 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 사이버 범죄자들은 포럼에서 SAP 취약점 공격 방법을 논의하고, SAP 침해를 통한 수익 창출 방법과 잠재적 피해자에 대한 공격 실행 방법을 공유했다.이와 동시에 2021년 이후 SAP 시스템 관련 랜섬웨어 사고가 5배(400%) 증가했다. 패치되지 않은 SAP 취약점이 랜섬웨어 공격에 악용된 것으로 알려졌다.오냅시스는 주요 취약점이 공개된 지 4년이 흘러 효율성이 떨어진 만큼, 위협 행위자들이 ‘새로운’ 무기를 확보하는 데 열을 올리고 있다고 언급했다. CVE-2021-38163, CVE-2022-22536 등 SAP 애플리케이션의 공개된 취약점도 표적이 되고 있다.패치 취약점 노리는 해커들많은 공격이 SAP 시스템 내의 패치 취약점을 악용하고 있다.오냅시스에 의하면, 아직 패치되지 않은 SAP 제로데이 취약점에 대한 공격 수요가 증가하고 있다. 이는 잠재적으로 큰 투자 수익을 창출할 수 있기 때문이다. 오냅시스의 제뉴어는 “SAP는 더 이상 폐쇄형 시스템이 아니며, SAP 애플리케이션이 실제 표적이 되고 있다”라고 경고했다. 인터넷에 노출된 시스템뿐만 아니라 내부 시스템도 대상이 될 수 있다고 그는 덧붙였다.또한 취약점 패치가 이미 배포됐더라도 시스템에 적용하지 않아 공격 대상이 되는 경우도 있을 수 있다. 오냅시스는 SAP 시스템의 복잡성과 광범위한 비즈니스 프로세스와의 통합이 고유한 보안 과제를 만들어내고 있다고 분석하면서, 기업이 잠재적 위협에 대응하기 위해 정기적인 패치 관리, 취약점 평가, 고급 위협 인텔리전스 도입을 우선시해야 한다고 조언했다.외부 전문가 일부도 SAP 기반 시스템이 공격자의 주요 관심 대상이 된다는 오냅시스 발표 내용에 동의했다.릴라퀘스트(ReliaQuest)의 수석 사이버위협 인텔리전스 분석가인 크리스 모건은 “SAP 시스템은 대기업의 핵심 운영 관리, 금융 거래, 지적 재산권, 개인 정보와 같은 민감한 데이터를 저장하는 데 중요한 역할을 하기 때문에 주요 표적이 된다. 보안 스토리지를 해독하고 SAP 시스템 내에서 측면 이동을 용이하게 하는 취약점 공격 도구를 개발하려면 높은 수준의 기술 전문성이 필요하다. 따라서 높은 가격이 정당화되고 있다”라고 말했다.릴라퀘스트는 2020년 8월 주요 사이버범죄 포럼에서 SAP 시스템에 대한 취약점 공격 도구가 약 2만 5,000달러에 판매되고 있다는 사실을 발견했다. 해당 공격 도구는 표적 시스템 내에서의 측면 이동을 용이하게 했다. 릴라퀘스트는 “게시물은 공격 도구가 SAP 보안 스토리지를 이용해 인증 정보를 발견하고, 권한을 상승시키며, 최종적으로는 초기 표적을 넘어 추가 SAP 시스템까지 침해할 수 있다고 주장했다”라고 설명했다.SAP 보안 스토리지는 SAP 환경 내의 민감한 데이터와 인증 정보를 관리하는 데 필수적이다. 따라서 무단 접근이나 권한 상승을 노리는 이들에게 SAP 공격 도구는 매우 높은 가치를 지닌 것으로 알려졌다[email protected]

Inflation data the focus in Europe before the Fed later today
Major currencies are mostly little changed with exception of the aussie and kiwi today. Both the antipodes are being pulled lower, breaking to fresh lows for the year. AUD/USD is down 0.4% to 0.6311 now upon a break of key technical support from the August low highlighted here. Meanwhile, NZD/USD is down 0.3% to 0.5735 to its lowest since November 2022 as it sticks to the firm break under 0.5800 since last week.That is at least making for some interesting moves before we get to the FOMC meeting later. In broader markets, equities are keeping more tentative while the selling in bonds is also taking a light breather. All eyes are on the Fed now and that's the main event that traders will be looking to respond to next.Coming up in European trading, there will be inflation data on the cards. The UK one will be the more heavily watched as it will come before the BOE policy decision tomorrow. But with headline and core annual inflation both expected to come in higher than the month prior, it should just reaffirm the BOE decision to pause this week.The OIS market is already pricing in ~93% odds of the BOE leaving the bank rate unchanged. So, any upside for the pound may be more limited. That being said, the odds of a February rate cut are closer to 50-50 right now. So, higher price pressures here could still lift the quid as traders tone that down.Headline annual inflation is estimated to come in at 2.6%, up from 2.3% previously. Meanwhile, core annual inflation is estimated to come in at 3.6%, up from 3.3% previously.As for the Eurozone inflation data, these are final figures for November.
